Two Regional ADNZ Awards for 2024.

O'Neil + Architecture Wins Two Regional ADNZ Awards for 2024: Celebrating Design Where Sustainability Meets Luxury.

We’re thrilled to announce that O'Neil + Architecture has scooped up two ADNZ Regional Awards for 2024! Our team took home the Architectural Designers New Zealand Regional Award - New Home over 300m² and the ADNZ Regional Award - Kaitiakitanga for our recent work, blending luxury with sustainability in a way that both looks good and does good.

  1. New Home over 300m² Award
Our design for The Gate House showcases how a large home can still be elegant, functional, and sustainable. It’s proof that luxury doesn’t have to come at the environment’s expense. By using eco-friendly materials and a well-thought-through energy-efficient design, this project delivers beauty and brains, where form and function meet effortlessly.

  1. Kaitiakitanga Award
This award recognises our dedication to sustainability, particularly through designs that honour the environment. Our focus isn’t just on how a building looks—but how it works, and interacts with nature. The Kaitiakitanga award celebrates our ongoing goal to create homes that are as sustainable as they are stunning, leaving a lasting positive impact.

You can learn more about these designs in our featured works, like The Gate House, and on our case studies page.

At O'Neil + Architecture, we know that sustainability and luxury don’t have to be opposites—they can combine beautifully. These awards are a testament to that belief, proving that it’s possible to create luxurious homes that respect both the landscape and the future.

A huge thanks to ADNZ, our clients, and our fantastic team who make these projects possible. A special mention to Lume Design, Henry Blakely Landscapes, and Brendan Falloon Builders.

Here’s to more great designs that look good and do good!

We look forward to the National ADNZ Awards evening at the end of October.
